Become Microsoft Certified
Experts anticipate that Windows 2000 will be the most widely used operating system within the next few years. Microsoft certification is reflecting this trend by ensuring that organizations have access to information technology professionals who are fully qualified to use this latest technology.
A study by the Gartner Group predicts Windows 2000 will be the most prevalent network operating system by 2001, with annual sales of as much as 50 million. By 2003 Gartner analysts predict 90 percent of organizations will have hired outside support to install and implement Windows 2000. That compares to 50 percent that used service providers to prepare for the shift to Windows NT 4.0.
Changes to MCSE Certification
Microsoft Certified professional program continues to be the very best way to demonstrate your command of current Microsoft products and technologies. Microsoft is committed to ensuring that the Microsoft (MCSE) certification remains a valued and respected credential that identifies leading information technology professionals and developers. In keeping with this commitment, Microsoft will be retiring the Windows NT 4.0 MCSE certification on December 31, 2001.Windows NT 4.0 MCSEs must upgrade their certification to Windows 2000 MCSE to avoid being de-certified.
Microsoft is striving to ensure that the next generation of MCSEs know how to design, develop and manage Windows 2000 applications and related Microsoft server products. MCSE candidates must be able to prove their skills and experience on performance-based exams that test hands-on experience.
MCSE candidates must pass five core exams and two elective exams to receive the Windows 2000 certification. Candidates who have passed the Windows NT 4.0 exams have the option of taking the accreted exam, which covers four of the five Windows 2000 MCSE core requirements. The accelerated exam is offered on a one-time only basis and is free of charge
All of the Windows 2000 core exams, the accelerated exam, many of the elective exams and classes are available through logista’s training center.
The following Microsoft Windows 2000 MCP exams became available in March 2000. For details see
